JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING
TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT

January 7-11, 2015
Centennial Hall

One of the most enduring shows of all time, Tim Rice & Andrew Lloyd Webber’s JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT is the irresistible family musical about the trials and triumphs of Joseph, Israel’s favorite son.

Retelling the Biblical story of Joseph, his eleven brothers and the coat of many colors, this magical musical is full of unforgettable songs including Those Canaan Days, Any Dream Will Do and Close Every Door

***Please note there is no Tuesday evening performance***

This production features a slightly suggestive brief scene in Act 1 that may be deemed inappropriate for younger children, when Potiphar’s wife attempts to seduce Joseph.

Set in Damon Runyon's mythical New York City, this screwball romantic comedy - considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy - soars with the spirit of Broadway as it introduces us to a cast of vivid characters who have become legends in the canon: Sarah Brown, the upright but uptight "mission doll," out to reform the evildoers of Times Square; Sky Masterson, the slick, high-rolling gambler who woos her on a bet and ends up falling in love; Adelaide, the chronically ill nightclub performer whose condition is brought on by the fact she's been engaged to the same man for 14 years; and Nathan Detroit, her devoted fiance, desperate as always to find a spot for his infamous floating crap game.

Beauty and the Beast

In the late 1990s, ALTON BROWN reinvented the food show with his award-winning Good Eats. Now with this live, traveling, foodie, comedy, quiz, lecture, puppet, talk, science, storytelling, and music show he's reinventing the live, traveling, foodie, comedy ... well, you get the point. Audience interaction is strictly enforced throughout the evening, though if you're called upon as a culinary assistant you'll definitely want to take the lab coat Brown offers, as things tend to get messy! Co-presented by Broadway in Tucson and UA Presents.

Recommended for ages 6+.
